Meat Processing Plant Products & Application Instuctions

Problem: Grease & Fat Build Up, Sludge Build Up, High BOD
Products: BioGuarde I, BioGuarde II
Application: High BOD can be lowered using BioGuarde I. Dosage should be 4-5 ppm. The grease, fat and sludge problems can be addressed using BioGuarde II. The dosage should be 4-6 gallons per day at lift stations, and 10-15 ppm in main streams.

Oil Pipelines

Problem: Ground Oil Spills, Sludge in Lines & Tanks, Equipment Clean Up
Products: SOS-5300, BioGuarde II
Application: Ground oil spills are taken care of by the use of SOS-5300, which can be diluted 50:50 with water, then sprayed onto the area contaminated. Sludge in the lines and tank can be cleaned using BioGuarde II, by diluting down with hot water 60-80 C and recirculated in the tank until clean. Equipment can be degreased and cleaned with BioGuarde II, diluted down 10:1 with water. Spray on, activate with a brush and let sit for 15 minutes. Wash off. Repeat if necessary.

Paper Plants

Problem: High BOD (Biological Oxygen Demand), Hydrogen Sulfide Odor, Sludge Accumulation
Products: BioGuarde I, C-5 Odor Neutralizer
Application: For reductions in BOD, use 2-3 ppm of BioGuarde I into the wastewater coming from the plant. Reductions of up to 90% have been achieved. This will also help with the odor a little, but for added odor control, we recommend applying C-5 Odor Neutralizer, which can be diluted with water 5:1, then sprayed periodically in the areas giving off odorous fumes. Applying BioGuarde I will also reduce the amount of Bio-Mass sludge produced by the wastewater plant. Reductions of 30-50% have been achieved.

Petrol Station Under Ground Contamination

Problem: Leaking Tanks, Ground Spills
Products: SOS-5300
Application: Both leaking tanks and ground spill problems can be solved using SOS-5300 by diluting 50/50 with water and spraying on contaminated areas.

Restaurants

Problem: Grease build up in grease traps, odor, clogs
Products: BioGuarde II, GreaseGuarde
Application: Pre-treat grease trap with 2 gallons of BioGuarde II, diluted to 10 gallons. This is to added to the grease trap. After this addition, a maintenance feed is started with GreaseGuarde at a rate of 4-8 ounces per day into the drain. This can also be manually feed.

Sanitation

Problem: Odor, Grease Build Up
Products: BioGuarde II, C-5 Odor Neutralizer
Application: Dilute BioGuarde II to 5:1 dilution and spray onto the dumpster, garbage trucks, filtered sludge and scavenger tanker unloading areas. C-5 Odor Neutralizer can also be administered. Check with technical department on amount to be added.

Septic Tanks, Cesspools & Pit Latrines

Problem: Odor, Increased Hydrogen Sulfide Levels, Sludge Build Up
Products: BioGuarde I, C-5 Odor Neutralizer
Application: Sludge reduction is accomplished by adding 4-6 ppm of BioGuarde I. Odor control can be controlled and Hydrogen Sulfide reduced by adding 3-5 ppm of C-5 Odor Neutralizer.

Tanneries

Problem: Sludge Accumulation, Grease Accumulation, Odor, High BOD Readings
Products: BioGuarde I, C-5 Odor Neutralizer
Application: High BOD levels and reductions in sludge can be accomplished by using BioGuarde I, at a dosage rate of 4-5 ppm. This rate will show positive results in a few days. C-5 Odor Neutralizer would be used in areas that are emitting odors. C-5 Odor Neutralizer can be diluted 5:1 with water before spraying.

Wastewater Facilities/Plants

Application: Sludge reduction, phosphorous and nitrate level reductions can be accomplished by adding 4-6 ppm of BioGuarde I. Grease reduction can be accomplished with BioGuarde II administered at lift stations. Odorous fumes and hydrogen sulfide can be reduced by adding 3-5 ppm of BioGuarde I.
